VIVO V50

In the Indian market, the Vivo V50 has launched for less than Rs 40,000.

It is a direct upgrade to the Vivo V40 smartphone that was announced merely five months ago. While the device shares a good amount of specifications from the previous model, it certainly has a few key improvements. The new vivo phone will be positioned against well-known brands like OnePlus 12R, iQOO Neo 9 Pro, and others.

Vivo V50 launched: Sale details and price:VIVO V50

The Vivo V50 starts at Rs 34,999 for the 128GB storage version while the also available 256GB model is priced at Rs 36,999. Pre-orders for the device are live already and first sale is set to be on February 25. The device will be purchasable through Flipkart, Vivo exclusive stores, and other retailers. The launch offers include a flat Rs 2,000 discount for users of HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and SBI Bank on credit cards. There is a facility of no-cost EMIs for up to 6 months as well.

The Vivo V50 borrows some elements from the Vivo V40 such as using Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor that V40 used to have. Alongside the processor, the device is also powered with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and has a variety of storage options for onboard storage, having 256GB and 512GB of UFS 2.2 supported storage. Unlike its predecessor, this model supports dual rear cameras, and the two cameras equip 50-megapixel sensors.

Camera and display:

The company has revealed that even though the camera system is similar, the model also has features such as different 50-megapixel sensors. This device has a quad-curved FHD display with 120 refresh rates and 6.78 inches in size. Just like the previous models, this version also has identical features. Moreover, the device also has a slimmer body than the V40 with having 7.39mm thick and weighing roughly 199g. One of the highlighted features are the new colour options that the model has, which are Starry Night, Rose Red, and Titanium Grey. The device continues to support the design structure that the V40 series had and is equipped with a glass back panel.

The latest edition is equipped with a bigger battery that allows higher charging speeds. It has a 6000mAh battery compared to the 5500mAh battery of the previous model. Vivo V50 supports 90 Watt charging which is an increase from the previous model’s 80 Watt unit. Additionally, it now supports both the IP68 and IP69 ratings offering a better degree of protection against water immersion (to a certain extent).

Other features:

This does come off as somewhat surprising for a device like this as these IP ratings are reserved for ultra premium smartphones. It further boasts features like Circle to Search, AI Transcript, AI Live Call Translation, and several other smart functions. Along with many new and improved additions, the company is also claiming that the Vivo V50 will provide users with a better camera experience.
