Nvidia RTX 50 Series Is Announced In CES 2025
Nvidia has announced its next-generation Nvidia RTX 50 series graphics cards at CES 2025. The most surprising thing about this is that the RTX 5070, priced at $549 (₹59,000), will be equal to the performance of last year’s RTX 4090 flagship GPU priced at $1,999 (₹2,14,000). Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang claims the RTX 5070 will be equal to “the performance of the RTX 4090.” However, this performance is mainly based on the benefits of DLSS 4 technology and not the native performance of the GPU. NVIDIA’s latest AI upscaling technology, DLSS 4, introduces “Multi Frame Generation”, which can generate three additional frames for each rendered frame. This technology can increase frame rates up to 8 times faster than traditional rendering.
Nvidia RTX 50 series prices:
RTX 5090: $1,999 (~₹2,14,000), 32GB GDDR7 memory, 21,760 CUDA cores, 238 FPS performance.
RTX 5080: $999 (~₹1,07,000).
RTX 5070 Ti: $749 (~₹80,000).
RTX 5070: $549 (~₹59,000), which matches the performance of the RTX 4090.
Nvidia RTX 50 series performance:
RTX 5070: 12GB of GDDR7 memory and 6,144 CUDA cores.
RTX 5070 Ti: 16GB of GDDR7 memory and 8,960 CUDA cores.
RTX 5080: 16GB of GDDR7 memory and 10,752 CUDA cores.
RTX 5090: 32GB GDDR7 memory and 21,760 CUDA cores.
The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will launch in international markets on January 30, 2025, while the RTX 5070 and its variants will launch in February 2025. With Blackwell architecture and DLSS 4 technology, which brings major improvements to ray-tracing and frame rates. RTX 5090: 238 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, compared to the RTX 4090’s 106 FPS.
Nvidia RTX 50 series Launch Dates:
RTX 5090 and RTX 5080: Available January 30, 2025.
RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti: Available in February 2025.
Nvidia RTX 50 series New Features:
All cards in the lineup support Display Port 2.1b, which enables 165Hz output at 8K resolution, and are compatible with PCIe Gen 5. These GPUs will be available through Nvidia’s Founders Edition design and partner manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, GIGABYTE.
Nvidia RTX 50 series Laptop Versions:
Laptop versions of the RTX 50 series will launch in March. They will include the same architectural improvements as the desktop versions. The mobile lineup will have variants of all four models, with the top-end RTX 5090 laptop GPU featuring 24GB of GDDR7 memory.
