Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 Is Happening Tomorrow
New Year new phones – Samsung is gearing up for its Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 on Wednesday, January 22nd and we’re expecting to see some new devices and you guessed it plenty of AI. Let’s break it down in its unpacked invite Samsung teased two big things the latest Galaxy S Series phones and updates to Galaxy AI. Let’s start with the Galaxy S Series which we expect will be called the Galaxy s25 now there are some things we always expect with phone upgrades like improved cameras and faster charging.
As far as what we’ll see with the Galaxy S 25 lineup, all Samsung has said so far is that quote the new Galaxy S series is about to set the bar once again for mobile AI experiences. Now and into the future, right off the bat there’s that focus on AI and that’s not surprising given the fact that companies like Apple, Google, and Samsung have all focused on AI during their big events over the last couple of years. But before we jump into AI let’s start with some Hardware rumors on the street as we’ll be getting the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and s25 Ultra.

Korean site Hong Kong has also reported that all three Galaxy s25 devices will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. The hope is that there also be support for QI2 wireless charging on all the phones.
The Galaxy s25 Ultra is rumored to have a 6.9-inch display and a new 50-megapixel ultrawide camera according to several leaks. Analyst Ross Young also shared a list of rumored colors for the latest Galaxy S lineup which includes silver blue and mint. There’s also been some Buzz about a Slimmer version of the s25 with a tipster flagging an entry for the Galaxy s25 Slim on Geek Bench. This correlates with rumors about a thinner version of the iPhone that could drop later this year but it’s not clear if or when these devices could become available if the Galaxy S25 Slim is real
then we may have to wait a bit longer to learn more about that. There have been conflicting rumors over whether the Galaxy s25 series Will be the same as last year’s lineup or get a price hike, so we’ll just have to wait and see on that. Now let’s talk about Galaxy AI, this is Samsung’s Suite of features for everything from drafting text to editing images to translating conversations.
In its invitation, Samsung said quote the next evolution of Galaxy AI is coming and it’s going to change the way you interact with the world, every day a little vague, so we’ll have to see what exactly it has in store. But one clear thing is that companies like Samsung, Apple, and Google it’s ET will all need to work on selling the idea of mobile AI as more than just a gimmick or marketing strategy. a CNET survey from August 2024 found that a quarter of smartphone owners don’t think AI features are helpful, it’s still the early days so that’s likely to change as companies tweak their AI features to better suit what people want.
Whether it’s simplifying tasks or making it easier to navigate apps and devices. It’s also likely that users become more familiar with AI-backed features, and they’ll also work to warm up to them as far as what’s coming from Samsung. The company says the next iteration of Galaxy AI will be more natural and intuitive. And that the latest Galaxy S Series will lean into those mobile advancements that could mean an update to its Bixby Voice Assistant, especially in light of Apple supercharging Siri to be more conversational and helpful.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: Expected other gadgets launch
last year Samsung teased its Galaxy Ring at its January unpacked event before eventually releasing it in July. Possibly we get a sneak peek at the next generation of the Galaxy Ring in Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025, which would potentially feature upgrades like more accurate sensors and longer battery life. But the Galaxy ring is we’d likely have to wait a little bit longer before that next version becomes available. Finally, mixed reality Samsung unveiled its project Moohan headset in December, which the company plans to launch later this year. Possibly the headset could make a cameo during unpacked and perhaps we’ll get an update on where things stand there come January 22nd in Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025.
